To all Joe’s dear fans, We are truly sorry that Joe Hisaishi is not able to go to France this time. Hisaishi and Wonder City had hoped to postpone the concert, but due to the organizers’ decision, a substitute conductor had to be appointed. Hisaishi has never performed with the orchestra, nor does he know the conductor, however, he hopes that the performance will go well. Still, he is deeply regretful and saddened that he cannot conduct the European premiere of his new work, Harp Concerto, himself. That said, we expect the organizers to take full responsibility and respond sincerely to both the performers and the audience. He is in the process of rehabilitation, aiming to conduct the concerts in Tokyo and in Rotterdam next month. Joe is very much looking forward to meeting all of you. Wonder City Inc.
